Project of the Month

Phoenix CC LLC., was given the contract to provide saw cutting for the replacement of a 1911 bridge in rural Caroline County, Maryland. The challenge was the condition of the aging concrete structure. All traditional methods for cutting away the concrete abutment wall and deck had to be put aside and new ideas formed. All parties including county engineers, the general contractor and Phoenix put their heads together to come up with the best possible removal strategy. As proposed cuts were made new adjustments had to be taken due to the effects of deteriorating concrete on the remaining structure.

In all, this was an extremely challenging project and took Phoenix Concrete Cutting only three days to complete.
